The Groningen Journal of International Law (GroJIL) is looking for strongly motivated, organized, and flexible people with great communication skills for the following positions:
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF POSITIONS:
(Applications from both law and non-law students are encouraged)
President
Monitors and evaluate the progress, performance and effectiveness of all GroJIL initiatives.
Identifies new themes and topics for editions and advises on the direction of the journal.
Presides over Editorial Board meetings.
Editor-in-Chief
Creates and enforces the parameters and policies regarding publications.
Determines the Editorial Board guidelines, ensuring that all content produced aligns with the goals of the Journal.
Maintains GroJIL’s standards to ensure the success of the journal.
Publishing Director
Coordinates the editing and peer review process.
Conducts the final review of articles before publication.
Maintains GroJIL’s style guide.
Supervises the Editing Representative
Finalise and format articles
Organise Editors’ meetings.
External Liaison
Performs duties as a reliable contact point.
Sends invitations to potential authors.
Maintains contact with the authors.
Manages email correspondence.
Ensures internal and external deadlines are respected.
Promotional Director
Maintains and improves GroJIL's social media strategy and outreach.
Manages communication between the Editorial Board and the Graphic Design.
Officer for promotional materials.
Supervises and organises meetings with the PR Committee.
Organises and hosts academic events such as guest lectures, forum discussions and documentary screenings.
